Director General Housing, SES Band 3
The Treasury is seeking an experienced senior executive with exceptional leadership and stakeholder engagement skills for the Director-General, Housing role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the Housing Group and deliver on critical priorities for the Government.
* Play an integral role on Treasury's Executive Board, contributing to the strategic direction of the department.
As a senior executive, you will possess excellent leadership skills, putting your people and the priorities of the Treasury at the centre of your thinking. You will deliver exceptional policy advice, program delivery, and services to Government.
You have strong stakeholder engagement capabilities and are driven by creating sustained and productive relationships with stakeholders from industry and government organisations. Through these engagements, you can identify issues and develop policies that deliver better outcomes for the Australian community.
As the Director-General, Housing, you will have extensive professional or executive management experience and enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary, fast-paced, and diverse operating environment.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Ability to lead and motivate a large team to provide timely, influential, and evidence-based policy advice.
* Knowledge and understanding of Australia's economic environment.
* Proven track record in leading large-scale, high-profile projects or reforms.
* Proven track record in negotiating and working with senior stakeholders from various spheres.
* Ability to effectively brief senior stakeholders and Ministers.
* Sound governance skills, including understanding of risk and innovative approaches to policy and program delivery.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualification(s) in a relevant field, including economics, accounting, taxation, law, public policy, international relations, or business and commerce.
