Functions & Events Manager – Full-Time

About the Role:
As Functions & Events Manager, you'll be responsible for managing all aspects of event delivery at the venue level, from initial enquiry through to post-event follow-up. Reporting to the Venue Manager and with the support of the Group Functions & Events Manager, you'll lead a dedicated team, and ensure every event reflects our high standards of service and presentation.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Manage end-to-end delivery of functions and events, ensuring exceptional client experiences.
* Respond to enquiries promptly and convert leads into confirmed bookings through tailored proposals.
* Collaborate with department, group and marketing teams to support local promotions and sales initiatives.
* Execute group processes and maintain compliance with operational and safety standards.
* Lead and develop the functions team, providing training and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
* Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for each event.
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience in event management or hospitality leadership roles.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with H+L, or similar operational platforms highly regarded.
* Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
* Commercial awareness and ability to meet financial and operational targets.
* RSA qualification or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
* Availability to work across a 7-day roster, including evenings and weekends.
