Key responsibilities
- End-to-end payroll processing across weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payroll cycles
- Ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries, wages, superannuation, and payroll tax
- Maintaining and updating employee payroll records and documentation
- Interpreting Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and employment contracts
- Processing new starters, terminations, leave entitlements, and employee variations
- Managing payroll queries and providing support to employees and stakeholders
- Reconciling payroll reports and assisting with month-end reporting requirements
- Supporting the implementation and improvement of payroll processes and systems
- Liaising with HR, Finance, and external stakeholders regarding payroll matters
Ideal candidate
- Previous experience in a Payroll Officer, Payroll Administrator, or Payroll Specialist position
- Strong understanding of end-to-end payroll processes and payroll legislation
- Knowledge of Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and Fair Work compliance requirements
- High attention to detail
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Hands‐on experience using payroll systems such as Chris21/iChris, Micropay, Preceda, ADP, SAP, Employment Hero, Dayforce, Kronos, MYOB, or Xero
