**About the role**
This role involves providing guidance, comments, and reviews before escalating Working With Children Check (WWCC), Criminal History, and VISA exemption requests to the Chief People Officer (CPO). It also includes managing the database for WWCC employee records in the THR system, verifying WWCC for TAFE NSW Childcare Centres during both scheduled and unscheduled audits, and regularly responding to State Audit Office requests for evidence related to payroll and talent acquisition cases.
A background in recruitment is highly advantageous, as the role requires a deep understanding of staffing procedures and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments. This expertise ensures that all recruitment activities are conducted in accordance with relevant legislation and best practices.
**About You**
To excel in this role, you must possess strong analytical and decision-making skills to handle complex and sensitive issues with significant impact, both within the immediate work area and more broadly across the agency. You should be adept at developing and communicating a unified interpretation for payroll and talent acquisition queries, providing tactical and operational guidance.
You need to be ethical, professional, and knowledgeable about relevant legislation, and proactive in preventing and addressing misconduct.
You will be required to meet these essential requirements:
- degree in relevant discipline or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience
- experience in payroll and recruitment within sectors requiring a variety of regulatory or compliance screening processes.
