Maintenance Officer
Location: Bendigo, Victoria – Part time (30 hours per week, typically Tuesday to Friday, 7:30am – 3:30pm)
Responsibilities
* Maintain plant and equipment within the hospital in accordance with the planned maintenance schedules, work requests system, and statutory requirements.
* Respond promptly to work requests from the Facility Services Manager, via requisition forms or telephone, and communicate any delays.
* Prioritise requisitions in order of priority, with patient comfort and safety as the highest priority.
* Oversee installation of new plant and equipment including associated wiring, amendment of drawings when necessary.
* Actively participate in the engineering department core team and promote continuous improvement.
* Oversee and maintain the hospital alarm system and access control systems.
* Perform statutory testing in accordance with relevant compliance codes.
* Use engineering works management software and standard office applications.
* Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work independently.
Qualifications
* Holding a suitable trade qualification.
* More than three years of post‐qualification experience (or full‐time equivalent).
* Experience in the healthcare industry, preferably a hospital setting.
* Victorian driver's licence and own car.
* Proficiency in standard office software and engineering works management software.
* Vaccination against influenza (required).

* Salary: $73,689 to $83,442 per annum (pro‐rata for part time), plus 12% superannuation.
