Job Title:Business Analyst
Location:East Melbourne Suburbs
Contract Type:6 month contract – 4 days a week in the office
We are looking for aBusiness Analystwith strong testing experience to support an ERP related program within a retail environment. This role is ideal for someone who understands retail operational processes, product workflows and planning cycles, and who is confident working across both business and technical teams.
The focus will be on ensuring processes are clearly understood, requirements are validated, and testing activities are well structured and executed. The project sits within a period of significant systems uplift, with potential for further work as the organisation looks toward future planning and optimisation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis
* Engage with stakeholders across finance, supply chain, merchandising, and planning to understand how processes operate today and how upcoming system changes will impact them.
* Document functional requirements and support the refinement of user stories and acceptance criteria.
Process Review
* Map current state workflows within a retail and product focused environment.
* Identify areas where processes, data, or system behaviour may require adjustment.
* Provide recommendations that balance system capability with practical operational needs.
Testing and Assurance
* Prepare test scenarios and test cases tailored to retail and product planning processes.
* Support and coordinate UAT with business teams, ensuring issues are recorded, triaged, and resolved.
* Validate that delivered functionality aligns with business expectations and operational readiness.
Delivery Support
* Work closely with technical teams, project managers and solution specialists to ensure clarity of requirements and testing outcomes.
* Contribute to status reporting, documentation, and readiness activities.
Skills and Experience
* Experience as a Business Analyst on ERP, core system, or major process change projects.
* Strong exposure to retail, FMCG, or product planning environments.
* Proven background in testing heavy project phases including scenario creation and UAT coordination.
* Strong communication and facilitation skills with operational and technical teams.
