About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and experienced
IT Manager
to lead our IT team and oversee all technology operations in Australia. The IT Manager will be responsible for managing IT infrastructure, systems, security, and projects while aligning technology strategies with business objectives.
This role is ideal for a proactive leader with strong technical expertise, people management skills, and a passion for driving technology-enabled business growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and manage the IT team to ensure high performance, collaboration, and professional growth.
* Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with organisational goals.
* Oversee day-to-day IT operations including infrastructure, networks, systems administration, and helpdesk support.
* Manage IT projects from planning to implementation, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
* Ensure IT security, compliance, and risk management, including data protection and disaster recovery.
* Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and systems to improve efficiency and productivity.
* Maintain vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and manage IT budgets.
* Collaborate with senior management to align IT initiatives with business objectives.
* Monitor performance metrics and generate reports to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Essential
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in IT management, IT team leadership, or senior IT roles.
* Proven experience managing IT operations, infrastructure, and projects.
* Strong knowledge of networking, servers, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), cybersecurity, and enterprise applications.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Experience with IT budgeting, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Desirable
* Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP, Microsoft, Cisco).
* Experience in Australian business environments and compliance requirements.
* Exposure to Agile project management and modern IT governance frameworks.
* Hands-on experience with business intelligence, ERP systems, or cloud migrations.
