Dyers Distribution is a family-owned company who have been providing quality logistics services since 1932. We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Operations Supervisor to join our team of dedicated professionals. Based at our Derrimut facility, the position is full time. Excellent wage and conditions are available to the successful applicant. The dayshift role will be 5 days a week and ideally suited to an ambitious and energetic person with sound logistics, distribution, and transport experience, preferably in the FMCG field.
Overview of Role
As a Transport Operations Supervisor you will play a critical role in supervising our team in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient deliveries of grocery and FMCG products across regional Victoria and interstate locations. This is a hands‑on leadership role where operational excellence, customer focus, and team support are essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, coach, and support a team, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety and operational standards.
* Work directly with our customers to ensure all loads are planned and executed in line with operational requirements.
* Brief and debrief drivers on safety, job task requirements, performance and compliance.
* Onsite lead for communications with customers, other depots, and internal stakeholders.
* Drive a positive, can‑do attitude across the team.
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including process standardisation, problem‑solving, and efficiency improvements.
* Manage operational workflow within a fast‑paced FMCG or retail logistics environment.
* Utilise Transport Management Systems (TMS) to manage routes, schedules, and reporting.
* Monitor equipment, vehicles, and delivery documentation to maintain operational standards.
* Always support quality customer service and communication.
* Ensure compliance with all safety and Chain of Responsibility regulations including fatigue & mass management.
* Ensuring all company policies and procedures are followed, including conducting safety meetings and Toolbox talks.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
* Experience in a similar role within logistics, transport, or FMCG distribution.
* Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
* Excellent time management, prioritisation, and organisational skills.
* Strong interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all levels within the organisation.
* Temperature controlled experience.
* Strong knowledge of systems, processes and controls required to maintain operational excellence.
* Excellent computer skills with an ability to use Microsoft office programs and the company's proprietary software.
* Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
* HC and Forklift licence would be advantageous.

* The successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre‑employment medical.
