Are you looking for a role that will create impact across the region; where your influencing and technical skills will shine? If so, read on…
About the role
As Sewer Operations Lead, you'll manage the operation and maintenance of sewer assets. Your leadership will be pivotal in developing and embedding sustainable processes that ensure reliable, resilient, efficient, and safe operation of the system—directly supporting Barwon Water's Strategy 2030 and regional prosperity vision.
You'll set the strategic direction for our sewer operations, drive process improvements, and foster a high-performance, accountable culture. By overseeing incident response, you'll ensure service reliability to optimise infrastructure performance and collaborate across departments to deliver integrated solutions and continuous improvement.
Travel across the region will be required in this role as you provide direct support to operational teams, so you'll require a current driver's license and undertake a pre-employment medical for the role.
About You
You're a confident and capable leader with a technical background in engineering or utility operations and advanced data and analytics expertise (SCADA, telemetry, smart sensors). You foster cohesion and growth in teams through excellent communication skills and understanding of your stakeholders.
You bring a track record in supporting teams, building high-performance cultures, and delivering complex projects and operational solutions. You're committed to safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance, and you thrive in a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive environment.
With a bachelor degree or higher in engineering (chemical, process or similar), or science, you'll enjoy the challenge in this dynamic role and supported by leaders who empower your decision making and continued growth. This is the ideal role for those seeking longer term impact across the region.
