From times of personal crisis to moments of national grief, we are always here — providing support, safety, community, and opportunity.****Position Title:** Program Manager – Homelessness**Classification:** SCHADS Level 7**Location:** Requirements to cover Brisbane North, Caboolture, Redcliffe, Sunshine Coast and Gympie Regions.**Status:** Permanent Full TimeLead a high‐impact homelessness program that drives strategy, empowers frontline teams, and delivers fast, flexible support to individuals and families when they need it most.**The role**Shape the strategic direction and daily operations of person‐centred homelessness services across the QLD Homelessness Supported Accommodation teams and the Peninsula Support HUB. Build and inspire a committed workforce, lift service quality, and create an outcomes‐driven culture that delivers real change for people experiencing housing instability.Oversee case management for families in Supported Accommodation and lead responsive brief interventions—phone, face‐to‐face, and mobile outreach—to support individuals and families at risk of or experiencing homelessness with timely, practical help.**Your responsibilities*** Ensure services are inclusive, accessible, high‐quality, and aligned with state, local, and national priorities* Oversee practice quality, service standards, compliance, contracts, and continuous improvement* Build, refine, and review program systems, processes, and service models to meet client needs and outcomes* Manage program budgets with the Regional Manager and ensure efficient, accountable operations* Recruit, develop, and support a skilled, values‐aligned workforce and foster a positive, high‐performance culture* Lead workforce development, training, performance management, and leadership capability building* Embed participant voice in planning, service design, evaluation, and quality improvement* Use data and feedback to evaluate service delivery and drive strategic growth and innovation* Build and maintain strong internal and external partnerships**What you will bring*** Degree in social work, welfare, community development, or related field, OR extensive sector experience with demonstrated capability* A valid state Working With Children Check* Proven experience in social services, including staff leadership and supervision**What we offer**The Salvos offer eligible employee's a well-balanced package of meaningful benefits including:* Salary packaging up to $15,900 tax free + $2,650 meal entertainment benefit.* Generous Paid Parental leave for primary (12 weeks) & secondary carers, Purchased Leave Scheme (up to 8 weeks) and 5 days paid leave per year to experience working in other TSA programs or activities.* Flexible working arrangements.* Access to EAP and health & wellness initiatives incl Fitness Passport* Ongoing training and development opportunities that enhance on the job skills and proficiency.* Rewarding and fulfilling purpose driven careers that have positive and sustainable / social impacts.The Salvation Army (Salvos) is a Christian movement and one of Australia's largest and most-loved charities.
