The RoleMake a difference in our community

The Sport & Recreation Officer is responsible for the effective and efficient management of Council sporting facilities and assets, ensuring safe, equitable access for all users. Key responsibilities include coordinating the sports ground allocation process, managing school and community bookings, overseeing facility maintenance, and maintaining a strong understanding of sporting clubs' facility needs and governance requirements.

This position is one of two Sport & Recreation Officer roles, with each officer acting as the primary liaison for allocated sporting clubs based on Council planning precincts.

About youThis role requires a candidate with demonstrated experience in stakeholder management, particularly working with community sports clubs or community organisations. The successful applicant will have strong attention to detail and a genuine interest in driving positive health and wellbeing outcomes within the community. A commitment to ensuring City of Whittlesea sporting clubs are safe, welcoming, and inclusive environments for people of all ages and abilities is essential.
