The Opportunity
Gain valuable healthcare experience in a specialised security role!
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out core security tasks such as customer service, patrols, responding to alarms, and access control
2. Engage in direct patient contact, including assistance with care and transfers within the facility
3. Perform cleaning duties following infection control protocols
4. Assist in lifting and moving patients, ensuring personal hygiene needs are met
5. Manage challenging patient situations with professionalism, understanding, and empathy
About You
* A team player confident working independently
* Organised, adaptable, and calm under pressure
* Dedicated to delivering excellent service to patients, staff, and visitors
* Ability to work shift work (Essential)
* A Class 1A Security Licence or willingness to obtain one (Essential)
Support and Training
* Supported by your direct line manager and the Security Lead at Maitland Hospital
* Thorough orientation and ongoing education provided
* Site-specific and manual handling training included
* Encouraged to request further development or quality improvement initiatives
