The Labour Support Group is seeking a highly skilled Motor Mechanic to join their team at the automotive workshop GLD Autocare Pty Ltd trading as Gladstone Autocare.
* Performing routine maintenance tasks such as checking and repairing suspensions, brakes, and wheel alignments of automotive vehicles.
* Diagnosing faults in engines and parts with the assistance of computers and dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts.
* Reassembling engines and parts following repair and maintaining a clean and safe working environment through ensuring the correct operation of all tools and specialised equipment.
* Managing stock reordering and inventory as directed, putting the stock (for example brakes, sparkplugs, oil filters) at the proper places.
* Maintaining and managing tools, equipment, and machinery in good condition.
* Delivering outstanding customer service at all times, ensuring a professional and polite manner when communicating with customers.
* Full adherence to regulations, relating to pollution and health and safety at all times.
Applicants must have completed at least Cert-III in automotive and a minimum of 1 year of full-time work experience as a motor mechanic, with a current driver's license and a desire to achieve results.
The successful candidate will be required to manage their time effectively, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
