Your new role
As a Field Civil Supervisor, you'll lead on-site operations for road construction and maintenance projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification. You'll coordinate crews, manage contractors, and oversee daily programming of works while maintaining compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
This role requires a proactive, lead-from-the-front mentality and the ability to interpret and implement design plans with precision.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervising civil construction activities across all phases of delivery
* Programming works and coordinating subcontractors and suppliers
* Leading and mentoring field crews to ensure productivity and safety
* Managing site documentation including safety, environmental, and traffic plans
* Conducting audits, inductions, and reporting to ensure project compliance
* Supporting continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement
* Willingness to work away from home when required
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you'll bring:
* Certificate IV in Civil Construction Supervision (highly regarded)
* Proven experience in a civil supervisory role, ideally on TMR projects
* Strong understanding of design plans and construction documentation
* Current Queensland "C" class driver's licence
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards
* Ability to travel and work flexibly across operational units
* Successful completion of a pre-employment medical
