Join Our Growing Team as a Senior Project Engineer
We are excited to announce a new opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our expanding team. This role is based in the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone, at the site of the largest wind farm in NSW, located in Wellington.
As a successful candidate, you will demonstrate the following:
* Support the Construction Manager by taking ownership of the project's lifecycle.
* Manage commercial aspects, including preparing claims, variations, scheduling, and cost control.
* Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and legislative requirements, addressing safety and environmental issues as they arise.
* Lead, mentor, and support a team of Engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
* Maintain thorough documentation of project activities, including plans, designs, reports, and updates.
* Oversee planning and design, manage project operations, and ensure efficient use of resources.
* Monitor project progress, coordinate activities, and prepare status reports and change orders.
* Manage project budgets, forecast risks and opportunities, and oversee subcontractor and supplier payments
* Ensure all project activities meet or exceed industry standards, regulations, and company quality guidelines.
What do you bring?
In addition to the above, we require an individual with;
* A minimum of 8 years of demonstrated experience in construction, including bulk earthworks, roads, renewables, and concrete structures.
* Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
* Hold a Construction Induction card (white card)
* The ability to lead and support road and major earthworks crews from an engineering perspective for wind farm construction.
* Strong knowledge of project financial management, forecasting, procurement, design and contracts management functions.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information.
* Proficient in project management software with a strong understanding of engineering principles.
* Willingness to work on a fly-in/fly-out basis with an industry-standard work cycle on a DIDO or FIFO 21:7 roster (3 weeks on 1 week off)
