Our client is a mid sized business and well established in their industry, with significant growth planned over the next three years. The business undertakes a range of activities, from industrial design, to manufacture and finally construction of its product onsite for customers.
The role will report into the CFO, and may well suit a person looking to step up into a Financial Controller role for the first time. The CFO will support you with mentoring and development.
The role will be in the office 4 days and 1 at home until July, when in August it will transition to 3 days in the office and 2 at home.
Reporting into the CFO, the role will manage staff, over AR, AP, financial accounting, budgeting and project accounting. As afore mentioned, the CFO will invest in you with training and development, from technical and commercial accounting skills to people management.
The key attributes sort are:
* A strong understanding of AASB 15 / IFRS 15 compliance and reporting.
* To this ends, while you will work with Project Managers around budgets etc, technical financial accounting experience and skills to support project accounting are required, as according to AASB 15, such as capitalising expenses on the balance sheet, complex WIP and revenue/expense recognition, adjustments and multi-year reconciliations, and tax accounting (reconciling book vs tax with trading trusts and preparing adjustment workpapers).
* Broader accounting skills across financial, management and project accounting.
* Drive to learn and to deliver
* A person who enjoys being involved in the business, understanding what's driving performance and spotting and assisting with solving issues.
* It would be highly advantageous, if you also have experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
