The Doyle Group successfully operates in various civil construction sectors across North Queensland. As a result of strong, consistent growth, an exciting Townsville based opportunity exists for an experienced Civil Estimator/Engineer.
You will be responsible for the overall company project estimating and tender estimating through to delivery. The role will entail working with clients, engineers, subcontractors/suppliers to communicate project timelines and expectations, ensure thorough cost review, analyse construction documents, specifications, proposals and other documentation to prepare time, cost and labour estimates for projects.
The following experience and attributes are required:
* Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, with RPEQ is preferable.
* Experience working within Procore, Expert Estimation and MS Project software.
* Ability to liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotes regarding project specific requirements.
* Tender preparation and pre-contract estimating experience.
* Proven ability to coordinate and monitor cost productivity.
* Knowledge of TMR Specifications.
* Demonstrated experience and ability in the delivery of civil infrastructure projects.
* High level skills in project planning and programming.
* Ability to develop project delivery methodologies.
* Procurement and subcontractor management experience.
* Competent in understanding of contract and technical specification requirements and able to assess project and business risks.
* Ability to work efficiently, effectively and within tight time frames.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills within part of a team.
* Excellent attitude towards health, safety, environmental and quality outcomes, embedding this commitment in everything you do.
