Are you ready to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of product certification?
This opportunity involves managing and developing certification schemes impacting various industries, focusing on Benchmark, CE, UKCA, and Kitemark certifications.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality product evaluations, ensuring safety and compliance, especially in PPE, Fire Safety Equipment, and related sectors like construction, plumbing, and electrical products.
Work closely with clients to ensure satisfaction and drive business success. If you're passionate about quality, innovation, and product safety, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities :
* Manage and develop product certification schemes, focusing on Benchmark and global standards like CE, UKCA, and Kitemark.
* Oversee product evaluations for PPE, fire safety equipment, etc.
* Issue, re-issue, suspend, or withdraw certificates and report recommendations.
* Identify and incorporate new or updated product standards and directives to keep schemes relevant.
* Participate in standards committees, working groups, and represent BSI externally.
* Ensure high standards of product quality, safety, and compliance, aiming for 'right first time' evaluations.
* Build strong client relationships, maintaining satisfaction and supporting business growth.
* Assist in bringing new products to market by collaborating with marketing, sales, and development teams.
* Contribute to the growth of the certification business and meet targets.
What We’re Looking For :
* Technical degree or equivalent expertise.
* Knowledge of Australian, European, UK, and international standards and certification trends.
* Experience with product certification, management systems, and testing principles.
* Understanding of quality assurance, internal auditing, and continuous improvement.
* Awareness of global certification and testing developments.
* Familiarity with relevant legislation and directives.
* Assessment skills, ideally with lead assessor experience or willingness to train.
* Experience with certification bodies like BSI, understanding standards like ISO 17065 and ISO 17025.
