**Facilities Services Officer**
- Excellent opportunity to work with local council
- $45 hourly rate with 10.5% super
- 6 Month Temp assignment - 76 hrs fortnightly

We are currently recruiting for Facilities Services Officer to assist our client based in Belmont with an immediate start for 6-month temp assignment with full time hours.

**About the Role**
- Supervise the day-to-day maintenance and operational activities at the City's major facilities in line with the Facility Asset Management Plan to ensure organisational and contractual targets and standards are being achieved and take appropriate remedial action
- Supervise major maintenance works is programmed to minimise disruption, ensure all customer service requests are actioned.
- Review and monitor building maintenance budgets, building control systems, reports, update asset database.
- Perform inspections to verify tenant's fulfillment of obligations during occupancy, while vacating.
- Assist the Coordinator Facilities - Operations in day-to-day management and monitoring of building control systems within Council facilities.
- Liaise with internal staff, contractors, public utilities, government departments and facility users on relevant matters, providing specialist advice to internal and external customers in relation to building matters.
- Assist coordinator facilities - in section's annual capital works budget, documentations - scope of works & KPI's.
- Monitor the performance of contractors in maintenance contracts and programmes with inspections and audits to ensure Contract Guidelines and Specifications are met and performance targets are achieved, dealing with minor breaches, and referring major issues to the Coordinator Building Operations.

**Who are we looking for?**
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Facilities Services/ contracts administrator/ asset management and project management and qualification in Building Services and/or Construction.
- Sound time management skills including the ability to plan and organise own work, prioritise tasks, achieve set and agreed performance and service standards, meet deadlines and work with mínimal supervision.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with an ability to communicate with a range of people, including those who may have a limited ability to communicate.
- Ability to acquire the appropriate legislative endorsements e.g. Construction Induction - Work Safely in the Construction Industry Card (White Card) in combination with a good understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety requirements relevant to this position.
