Overview
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Underwriting team at Victor Insurance. This role will be based in the Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Responsibilities
* Achieve underwriting results and growth through new business and renewals in accordance with plan and budget.
* Determine the acceptability, conditions, and pricing of routine moderate to complex insurance risks, agreeing on coverage within business strategy and regulatory requirements.
* Maintain in-depth knowledge of current legislation, underwriting acceptance levels, systems, and guidelines.
* Identify new business opportunities within underwriting appetite and ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines at all times.
* Assist the Senior Underwriter with the renewal process, endorsements, and new business quotations within authority.
* Build and develop relationships with brokers and Capital Providers/Insurers, delivering first-rate service while managing interactions professionally.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated experience in underwriting multi or single line commercial and farm business as well as domestic products.
* Broad insurance industry knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Previous experience with Sunrise/Underwriting System is favourable.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver results on time and in full.
