What You'll Be Doing
We're looking for a dedicated Nurse Unit Manager to lead a dynamic cardiac team.
You'll be responsible for the effective and efficient management of departmental staff, fostering a collaborative environment, and ensuring coordination with internal and external stakeholders involved in patient care.
Your Leadership Role Will Include:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the 31-bed cardiac ward
- Manage and support nursing staff to deliver exceptional cardiac patient care
- Foster a collaborative, positive work environment that promotes staff wellbeing
- Ensure compliance with best practice standards and legislative requirements
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance

- Work closely with Cardiac Services Manager on strategic objectives
What You'll Need:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Extensive nursing experience with significant cardiac care background
- Proven leadership and management experience in a clinical setting
- Strong understanding of cardiac conditions and treatments
- Experience in quality improvement and clinical governance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Financial management and budgeting experience
- Ability to lead and inspire teams in a fast-paced environment

- Postgraduate qualification in nursing management or cardiac nursing
- Previous Nurse Unit Manager or similar leadership role experience
