Maintenance Technician – Electrical ; Electrical Fitter; Electrician
Responsibilities
- Permanent, Full Time Opportunity
- Rotating shift pattern: mornings 6am to 2pm for two weeks, afternoons 2pm to 10pm for two weeks
- Operate as the Electrical Maintenance Technician for planned, unplanned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance, as well as inspections of automation equipment
- Perform daily system audits and complete breakdown reports, shift logs, and issue logs per internal protocols
- Inspect and replace hard-wired gear motors and power supplies; undertake mechanical and electrical repairs and component replacements
- Generate reports for internal and external stakeholders within agreed timelines
- Compile monthly management reports for internal and external distribution
- Engage in continuous improvement activities to optimize systems, collaborating with team members and other departments
- Ensure the site workshop is well-maintained, presentable, and clean
- Adhere to OH&S; regulations (Australian and internal/external)
- Comply with company policies and procedures
- Participate in local, interstate, and overseas training and development opportunities
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities as required
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Must hold Australian Electrical Licence
- Experience maintaining in office equipment within engineering, automation or manufacturing is highly desirable
- Experience with component removal and refit
- Experience with belts, conveyors, motors and gearboxes is beneficial
- Hold a valid driver’s license
- Desirable: Familiarity with programmable logic controls (PLCs) and automated equipment
- Pre-employment medical, D&A; and police check to be completed for employment
