Level B Operator – MineGem
Key Accountabilities (however not limited to)
* Operating CAT 2900 loaders in both manual and remote modes in production stopes and for backfilling using loose rock or CRF.
* Bogging of development headings, sumps, and other loader activities as required.
* Interpretation of available data, digital representations and equipment to operate loader safely in remote.
* Following mine plans.
* Conducting pre-start checks of rig and ensuring work area is safe.
* Setting up the remote bogging infrastructure including lasers, antennas, and other equipment.
* Recording all salient information and reporting such to the cross shift engineers.
* Having a basic understanding of the remote bogging systems and being able to troubleshoot intermittent problems that may occur.
* Demonstrating a high degree of vigilance in risk management.
* Ensuring that all assigned vehicles are operated in a safe and clean condition at all times.
* Using all provided equipment safely and within its design capability and purpose.
* Carrying out effective high quality workplace inspections, ensuring correct signage (warning/hazards) are used and maintained at all times according to site standards and procedures.
* Reporting all incidents and hazards to your Shift Supervisor immediately.
About You
* Previous experience working as an underground loader operator (Caterpillar MineGem experience preferred).
* Experience working in production and development crews or operating in this environment with an extensive knowledge of underground mining equipment and techniques.
* Ability to communicate clearly and conduct detailed handovers with supervisors, cross shift and other relevant departments.
* A willingness to partake in Pre-Employment Medical and D&A Screen and Background checks.
* A manual C Class driver's license.
* First aid certificate – desirable.
* Working at Heights Certificate – desirable.
