Clinical Nurse Specialist
As a seasoned nursing professional, this role offers the opportunity to leverage clinical expertise and leadership skills in a specialist clinical practice environment.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in cardiology with a passion for health education, enabling them to provide support to patients with chronic cardiac conditions through rehabilitation education sessions at the hospital.
This position involves providing senior nursing clinical leadership in the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery within a nursing unit, team or service.
Working closely alongside healthcare professionals, the Clinical Nurse Specialist will employ advanced clinical skills, exercising extended autonomy of decision making.
The CNS will also be responsible for delivering health coaching and health education to patients, promoting optimal health outcomes.
* A current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience in the clinical area of their post-graduate qualification, or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
* The ability to prioritise and problem solve to manage complex clinical care needs through the development and use of clinical management plans.
