Overview
Are you an experienced facilities or asset manager looking to make an impact in the South Australian public health sector? We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join our Corporate Services team as the Strategic Asset Manager. The position's location can be negotiated, with preference given to candidates willing to work within the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network boundaries.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the planning, management, and administration of capital projects and asset sustainment across the Local Health Network.
* Develop, implement, and review strategic asset management plans and policies to optimise health network infrastructure.
* Maintain up-to-date condition assessments of all built assets and facilitate efficient asset sustainment processes through contractor management (AGFMA).
* Provide effective stakeholder engagement, collaborating with executive leaders, facility managers, sites, external contractors, and government agencies.
* Advise on asset benchmarks, performance measures, and risk management, including supporting carbon accounting requirements.
* Develop project briefs, business cases, and budget bids for major infrastructure projects; prepare high-quality reports and correspondence for executive, board, and funding bodies.
* Oversee contract management, monitor project governance processes, and ensure all statutory, government, and health policy requirements are met in infrastructure maintenance and development.
* Foster collaborative change management, operational efficiency, and quality improvement in a dynamic environment.
About You
* Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder management, and written/verbal communication skills.
* Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with sound judgement and strategic leadership.
* High-level experience in capital works management, facilities management, and complex contract delivery.
* Demonstrated experience in preparing budgets, reports, briefings, correspondence, and business case analyses.
* Ability to independently manage high volumes of work, multiple projects, competing priorities, and sensitive/confidential matters.
* Knowledge of project management principles, asset management best practices, and public sector standards.
Desirable
* Experience working within complex health organisations.
* Understanding of Yorke & Northern LHN strategic goals and community networks.
