About the Role
We’re seeking a hands-on, highly skilled Operations Manager to oversee daily operations at our growing building materials business. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys streamlining systems, and is proactive in problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee and optimise daily operations across sales, warehouse, and dispatch teams
2. Ensure timely order fulfilment, inventory accuracy, and smooth logistics
3. Manage a 3-month inventory planning cycle, stock levels, and consumables
4. Collaborate with the warehouse and logistics team to source, vet, and negotiate with freight providers
5. Track orders and workflows to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction
6. Follow up on outstanding payments and manage accounts receivable
7. Assist in margin analysis, pricing updates, and operational cost controls
8. Act as the central point of contact between departments, proactively resolving issues
What You’ll Need
* Strong operational or logistics experience, preferably in construction or manufacturing
* Excellent communication and leadership skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders
* A proactive approach with strong organisational skills
* Knowledge of systems and processes relevant to operations management
* Initiative and lateral thinking abilities
* Bonus: Experience with high compliance building materials, fire ratings, cladding
