Job SummaryAre you interested in working on Netflix Animation Studios' next animated feature with our highly talented team of artists?
Are you a whizz with Marvelous Designer, and love the challenge of modeling clothing?
We're looking for modellers who will get to work on creative, stylised characters for our upcoming project.What You'll DoInterpret 2D designs and translate them into 3D space while maintaining the original artistic intentProduce complex or stylized models to a high standard with a thorough understanding of shape, scale and topologyProduce accurate UVs for models for use in downstream departmentsProduce highly optimised meshes that can be rendered and displayed efficiently for downstream departments such as Rigging, Layout and LightingAssume responsibility for ensuring assigned work is produced to appropriate standard quality within the scheduled timeframe and deadlineMaintain good communication with the Model LeadWhat You'll Need3+ years' experience modelling within a VFX or Animated Feature pipelineProficiency with Maya and ZBrushExperience with Marvelous DesignerExperience with Blendshape is not required, but would be a bonusSolid understanding of proper edge flow and polygon densitySolid understanding of the topology for static and deforming objectsExcellent attention to detail and the ability to abstract and interpret design down to its fundamentalsStrong organisational and time management skillsWhat You'll Need To Include On Your ApplicationTurntables, with wireframes, of character and creature modelsThis role is based out of Sydney, Australia.
Hybrid Role (Minimum of 3 days a week in the office).
