Overview
Exciting casual opportunity based in Wollongong. Home Care Worker on the front line of our Consumer Directed Services, delivering a wide range of services to support participants activities of daily living.
Responsibilities
- Work on the front line of Consumer Directed Services, delivering a wide range of services to support participants activities of daily living and ensure individual needs are met.
- Provide supports such as companionship, meal preparation, domestic assistance and medication management.
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of care provided to participants.
About You
You are a passionate, empathetic, and caring individual who is looking to make a positive impact on others. You are independent, proactive, and able to follow direction from managers while working within a team. Flexible availability is highly desirable and you are committed to providing reliable, person-centered support.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Certificate lll in Mental Health, Disability, Aged Care or Home and Community Care (Desirable but not essential) or equivalent working or lived experience
- A current valid Driver's License and a registered, insured vehicle
- Police Records Check (completed within the last 12 months)
- Working with Children Check
- Manual handling training is desirable, but you will receive training if needed
- Rights to work in Australia
- Availability and willingness to use personal smartphone
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate – free online course
