About the Role
Saunders Automation is a specialist electrical and control systems engineering company with deep expertise in PLC, SCADA, DCS and RTU projects across multiple industries. As we grow, we're looking for a Control Systems Engineer to join our Perth team.
What You'll Do
You'll provide industrial control system support (remote and onsite) and contribute to full project delivery — from concept and detailed design through to FAT, SAT, commissioning and client handover. Work spans a range of industries with mostly office-based and local site work.
Responsibilities
* Design, develop and program control systems across PLC, HMI and SCADA platforms (Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider Electric, Emerson and others)
* Deliver functional design specs, control philosophy documentation and OT network design
* Execute FAT, SAT and commissioning plans
* Provide technical support and mentoring to the wider team
* Manage work to Australian Standards and company procedures
What You'll Bring
* Tertiary qualification in Engineering
* Hands-on experience with industrial control systems programming
* White/Blue Card (Construction WHS Induction)
* Strong problem-solving skills and a self-starter attitude
* Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel occasionally
Desirable: experience with industrial networking, cybersecurity, or HMI/SCADA platforms such as Ignition, Citect, WinCC or FactoryTalk.
