About the role
With seven integrated programs providing homelessness support programs in Townsville, our work stands for practical, person-centred care that offers stability, and culturally safe support to help people secure and maintain a home.
Our work supports individuals and families who are experiencing housing insecurity. Through our range of programs, we offer outreach, crisis support, tenancy sustainment and long term housing.
In this role you will provide individualised case work support to clients to set and attain identified goals. You will collaborate with other agencies and organisations, contribute to co-design process and innovate ways of working to optimise our response to our clients.
What you will bring
* Proven ability to provide high quality, specialist casework support and case management
* Demonstrated understanding of how to holistically assess complex client needs, including conducting risk assessments, and developing effective case plans and safety planning
* Proven ability to identify service gaps and manage complex cases within a context of competing priorities
* Demonstrated cultural competence and the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
* Demonstrated effectiveness in contributing to interagency collaboration and ability to lead collaboration, advocate and network with internal and external stakeholders
* Demonstrated understanding of the complex needs of children and young people is desirable
* A current Working With Children’s Check and Australian Drivers Licence is mandatory

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award – Level 4. Salary from $88,090.08 + salary packaging + superannuation
