The Role
Our Structural team seeks a motivated and passionate Structural Engineer to support growth across Port Macquarie and the wider North Coast, working primarily from our Coffs Harbour office with expansion to Port Macquarie.
You'll lead projects and collaborate closely with a small experienced team. This client‐facing role offers autonomy to build relationships, identify opportunities and deliver projects from concept to construction. The role also provides flexibility to work across our Coffs Harbour office and Port Macquarie.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for technical delivery of diverse structural projects including commercial buildings, residential developments, fit‐out, aged care and educational facilities.
* Collaborate with a diverse client base, attend meetings and inspections, and act as the first point of contact for design coordination and reviews.
* Manage project costings, monitor performance and budget, ensuring key dates are met and projects remain within budget.
* Assist junior team members in planning their weekly project time.
* Mentor emerging young engineers.
* Contribute to technical development across the Structural section.
* Develop skills in business development, including preparation of proposals.

Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience working as a structural engineering consultant in the Australian market.
* Tertiary qualification in Engineering and ideally CPEng certification.
* Knowledge of ETABS, RC Building, RAPT, SpaceGass highly valued.
* Experience delivering projects across residential, health, education, commercial and industrial sectors.
* Accountability to set goals and a drive to fulfil them.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong team ethic and collaboration across functional groups.
* Familiarity with financial management of projects internally highly valued.
