Overview
We are partnering with a beloved Australian brand who are looking for their next Head of IT. In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering the company's end-to-end technology strategy, driving innovation, and ensuring robust, scalable systems that enable business growth. Sitting within the leadership team, you'll work closely with a range of stakeholders across the business to align technology initiatives with commercial and customer-focused outcomes. You'll oversee a talented internal team and manage key external partners across infrastructure, applications, data, cybersecurity, and digital platforms.
The Role
* Develop and execute a future-focused technology roadmap which is aligned with business growth and expansion plans across AU/EUR/US
* Lead digital transformation initiatives including cloud modernisation, automation, and emerging tech adoption
* Introduce customer-facing solutions to enhance experience and drive sales
* Oversee legacy system modernisation and technical debt reduction
* Ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security across all tech systems (ERP, POS, WMS, eComm)
* Oversee enterprise architecture spanning cloud, SaaS, and on-prem systems
* Drive cybersecurity strategy, incident response, and compliance across multiple frameworks
* Implement ITIL-based service delivery model and infrastructure cost optimisation
* Establish data governance frameworks and self-service analytics capabilities
* Support advanced analytics, AI/ML initiatives while ensuring compliance
* Lead vendor strategy and performance management
* Monitor and report on risk, compliance, contract value improvements, and ROI of technology investments
The Person
* 10+ years' experience in senior technology leadership roles (preferably in retail/e-commerce, wholesale not essential but desirable)
* Deep understanding of ERP (NetSuite experience required, full experience of implementing & reconfiguring highly regarded), POS, WMS, e-commerce (Shopify), and integration platforms
* Strong grasp of cybersecurity, risk management, and data compliance
* Experience in strategic planning & budget ownership, and commercial minded
* Executive-level communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership presence
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Masters/Certifications a bonus)
