Primary objective
The Resource Coordinator Officer position will supervise, coordinate, implement, monitor and maintain the training, business
and administrative systems and processes to support the daily operations of the Youth Justice Professional Development
and Training team.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Develop, implement, and maintain administrative systems, procedures and guidelines to improve productivity for the
effective delivery of training programs.
1. Develop and maintain respectful working relationships with customers, team members, other teams, and colleagues.
2. Contribute to the monitoring of training projects against plans and respond to requirement changes.
3. Identify improvement opportunities and propose solutions to enhance work systems, processes and practices.
4. Use an understanding of customer needs to tailor solutions to meet expectations and support positive outcomes.
5. Purchase goods and services, coordinate site contractors and monitor business unit and training delivery expenditure.
6. Make effective use of team and individual capabilities in the coordination of training and provide support and coaching
in the use of government business systems.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated understanding of technology, including proficiency in the use of word processing, databases,
spreadsheets and desktop publishing applications.
1. Demonstrated experience in client and customer focused delivery and ability to build and sustain diverse professional
relationships, while using initiative to resolve more complex customer issues.
3. Sound communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, concisely and confidently in both written
and oral communication and use appropriate language for the audience.
1. Sound organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve results
and work to agreed priorities, outputs and timeframes, whilst maintaining attention to detail.
5. Demonstrated experience in contributing to the development and documentation of training programs to support
delivery.
1. Demonstrated ability to coordinate, assess and administer procurement activity, account payable procedures, and
manage contractual arrangements or similar experience demonstrating the ability to quickly learn these processes.
7. Demonstrated experience in acting constructively under pressure and adapting quickly to changes in priorities.
Desirable
1. Qualifications or relevant training and experience in office administration, business or equivalent.
