The Team
North West Renal Satellite Unit provides specialist renal services to patients across the North West region of Tasmania.
As part of the statewide renal service the team supports patients with chronic kidney disease and end-stage kidney disease across haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and renal transplantation pathways.
The unit works closely with consultant nephrologists, multidisciplinary teams, and interstate transplant centres to deliver coordinated, safe and person-centred transplant and donation services.
The team is committed to improving access to transplantation and delivering high-quality care to the Tasmanian community.
The Role
The Clinical Coordinator – Renal Transplant provides advanced clinical leadership and coordination of renal transplant recipient and donor work-up programs based at the North West Renal Satellite Unit.
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, the role works with a high level of autonomy and acts as a key point of contact for patients, families and internal and external stakeholders.
Key Duties
Coordinating renal transplant and donor work-ups, education, investigations, liaison with transplant centres and long-term follow-up.
Providing expert clinical advice, leadership, and case management within a multidisciplinary renal team.
Contributing to service development, quality improvement, data collection, and best-practice transplant care.
You will need
Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
Demonstrated advanced clinical experience and knowledge in renal transplantation and chronic kidney disease.
Well-developed leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.

Details of appointment
Permanent, part-time day worker position, working up to 32 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed upon date.
Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies.
Salary
$109,767 to $115,813 per annum (Pro rata).
Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement ****.
Access to the Grade 4 salary range $102,439–$109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type.
Salary Packaging
You'll have access to salary packaging a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Eligibility
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.

Holds or is working towards a relevant postgraduate qualification.
