THE ROLE
* Assist with weekly cash flow forecasting activities for the Duratec Group.
* Prepare monthly financial accounts, including review of balance sheet reconciliations.
* Analyse accounts and investigate material variances from budget expenditure.
* Consolidate and distribute various financial reports to the assigned business areas.
* Prepare and post monthly journals including prepayments, provisions and accruals.
* Maintain WIP files, including interpretation of financial data provisions.
* Prepare and post monthly consolidation journals.
* Review monthly overhead reports, consolidation journals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Support external audits, ensuring audit files and statutory accounts are organized.
* Analyse intercompany loans, reconciliations, and records.
* Update project budgets, ensuring costs are accurately recorded and allocated.
* Generate and interpret detailed financial statements for management.
* Provide guidance and technical advice to operational teams on financial matters.
* Perform ad-hoc daily accounting tasks and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
ABOUT YOU
* Minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
* Experience in a project-based construction environment.
* Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), or equivalent.
* Bachelor of Business/Commerce - Accounting or equivalent (desirable).
* Strong computer skills, with a particular focus on Excel.
* Familiarity with large ERP systems (Oracle JD Edwards experience advantageous).
* Exceptional organisational, written, and communication skills.
