Patient Theatre Booking Specialist
This role supports a high-performing admissions service by providing first-line support to team members in ensuring the overall integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all patient admissions and theatre bookings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Validate and quality control all theatre bookings and liaise with theatre regarding theatre lists.
* Coordinate theatre bookings and related activities.
* Print and distribute daily theatre lists and reports as required.
* Process surgical bookings in Webpas from theatre lists received via doctors' rooms.
* Follow up missing consents day prior to admission.
* Monitor 'inbox' and file theatre lists accordingly.
* Facilitate all aspects of bookings cancellations and rescheduling and inform preadmissions clerical team.
* Assist with conducting routine quality audits.
* Liaise with patients, doctor's rooms and other key stakeholders.
* Act as a role model, facilitating a spirit of teamwork and collegial support, ensuring a high level of patient centricity.
* Support team members, sharing knowledge in an open and supportive manner for the benefit and knowledge development of all members of the team.
Requirements:
* Sound experience working in an admissions or administrative environment.
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of theatre procedures.
* Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
* Excellent planning and organisational ability.
* High level of attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
