Charge Radiation Therapist - Icon Cancer Centre North Lakes
* Provide leadership and management of the planning or treatment unit at our comprehensive cancer treatment centre in North Lakes.
* Mentor our Senior/Base Grade RTs, with support from our experienced Clinical Lead RT and Site Manager.
* Operate two Varian TrueBeam linacs, Identify Surface Guidance, Siemens CT scanners, Eclipse Planning, ARIA OIS.
* Access on-site radiation oncology clinical trials via our research unit.
* Enjoy excellent REM, 5 weeks annual leave, PD Days/Allowance.
* Permanent, Full-Time (9-day fortnight) – North Lakes, QLD.
The Opportunity:
We seek a Charge Level Radiation Therapist to join our North Lakes team. The role involves providing high-quality, safe, patient-centred clinical radiation therapy planning and treatment, overseeing operations within our treatment or planning unit. This is a permanent full-time position (76 hours per fortnight), reporting to the Clinical Lead Radiation Therapist.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to Radiation Therapists.
2. Assist the Clinical Lead RT with daily operational management.
3. Manage staffing and equipment efficiently within the unit.
4. Act as a technical resource and lead junior staff.
5. Make timely, accurate technical decisions using your knowledge and experience.
6. Support change management initiatives.
7. Adhere to protocols to ensure safety and efficiency.
8. Recommend service quality improvements.
9. Foster a high-performance, patient-centred culture.
10. Promote education, research, and professional development.
11. Support new staff orientation and supervise students and interns.

Skills & Experience:
1. Proven proficiency in radiation therapy planning and delivery.
2. Experience in team leadership and supervision.
3. Eclipse planning experience is preferred.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Commitment to high-quality service delivery.
6. Ability to follow clinical protocols.
7. Understanding of private healthcare service models.
8. Effective teamwork and independence skills.
Qualifications:
* Current AHPRA Registration as a Radiation Therapist with QLD Radiation Use Licence.
