Could you be the Maintenance Technician in Rouse Hill we're looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your maintenance expertise in a new cutting-edge field in our Services business. We have a position on offer for an electrical technician on a 12-month contract with a view to permanent employment. You'll work alongside ambitious, driven, and team-spirited teammates on the Sydney Metro North West Project. Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for completing maintenance inspections and visits for both preventative and corrective maintenance on the maintenance facility, which is home to the first driverless metro train in Australia.
We'll look to you for:
- Carrying out preventative maintenance programmes on the Depot infrastructure (e.g., troubleshooting, duty checks, inspections, component changes, and overhaul of various machines)
- Investigating faults on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and other components
- Refurbishment and modification of equipment, including the replacement and upgrading of components and systems
- Responding to equipment breakdowns and participating in first response situations
- Assisting in the preparation of Safe Systems of Work, Rule Changes, and Risk Assessments
- Participating in integrated teams when performing electro-mechanical equipment changes on depot equipment, involving multi-skilling
All about you
We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual who is passionate about problem solving. You will also have:
- Certificate III in Engineering (Electrical)
- Trade qualifications as a Licensed Electrician or similar
- Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in technical functions
- Railway industry experience is preferred
