About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced Quantity Surveyors to work across various projects based in Sydney. This role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the procurement of subcontractors including preparing, issuing, adjudicating, recommending & awarding subcontract and supply agreements with detailed input from engineering & construction team.
* Preparation and submission of progress claims and ensuring their timely payment.
* Subcontract management including receipt and processing of subcontract interim payment claims & final accounts.
* Process claims for variations and additional entitlement to time & money.
* Prepare, submit & agree contractual claims for time & money.
* Manage and participate where necessary in the preparation, submission & agreement of variations.
* Advise the project management team on contractual issues & initiate correspondence.
* Prepare, review & submit reports to prescribed timescales (including equipment and cost reports).
* Review change management.
About you
* A tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Commercial Law or Construction Management.
* Previous experience in a similar role having worked for major construction contracting companies.
* An ability to measure will be highly regarded.
* A high level of technical and negotiation skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills along with your ability to liaise confidently with a variety of internal and external stakeholders will be highly regarded.
