Salary $150k + Super + Monthly RDO | Lead Maintenance & Drive Reliability
Melbourne North
Our client is a long-established Australian plastics manufacturer with more than 75 years in injection moulding and food/industrial packaging. With strong investment in new machinery and a healthy forward workload, they are now seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead a small team and modernise the site's maintenance function.
This role suits someone who enjoys being both "on the tools'' when required and driving system improvements, reliability uplift, and plant performance.
About the Role

* Maintain maintenance records (spreadsheets or CMMS) and manage spare parts inventory
* Ensure OHS/WHS compliance and support HACCP requirements
* Promote 5S, organisation and a clean, safe workplace
About You
* Trade qualified (Mechanical Fitter, Toolmaker, Electrical or similar)
* Proven experience in maintenance leadership within a manufacturing environment
* Experience in injection moulding or another plastics manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
* Strong hands-on capability across mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
* Able to lead from the front without becoming a bottleneck
* Organised, proactive and confident introducing structure and maintenance systems
* Practical, calm under pressure, and effective at balancing hands-on work with leadership
What's on Offer
* Salary: $150k + Super
* Optional fully maintained company vehicle available (included within the package)
* Monthly RDO
* Stable day-shift structure with strong autonomy
