A reputable government organisation is seeking an experienced Customer Case Officer to join their customer services team on a temporary basis. This role offers an immediate start and the opportunity to contribute to essential case management and client administration services.
Your new role
Working as part of a supportive and high-performing team, you will manage a portfolio of customer cases, providing timely administrative support and liaising with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for:
* Managing a varied caseload and ensuring cases are progressed within required timeframes
* Coordinating information from clients, stakeholders and service providers
* Preparing accurate documentation, reports and financial statements
* Managing incoming enquiries and delivering high‑quality customer service
* Maintaining accurate records in line with relevant guidelines, policies and standards
* Supporting operational processes to ensure compliance and service excellence
This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients who may be dealing with sensitive or challenging circumstances.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
* Previous experience in banking or financial services is highly desirable, particularly in customer service, account management, or case management.
* Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
* Ability to interpret and apply policies or legislation
* High level of accuracy and strong documentation skills
* Confidence handling complex or sensitive client enquiries
* Intermediate proficiency in office software and systems
