About the Role:
Hibiscus Tavern is currently seeking a Permanent Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie to join its dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an Award Winning, professional, fast-paced kitchen that values creativity, quality, and teamwork.
Skills required:
* 2 years experience as a Sous Chef/Chef de Partie in ala carte restaurant
* Strong Grill experience
* Previous experience with menu design and costings
* Passionate about working with great produce and being part of a professional kitchen team
* To be able to keep up high quality standards and to multi task in a busy environment
* Demonstrated experience in high volume, fast-paced restaurant environment
* Ensure all food is prepared safely and in accordance with food hygiene regulations
* Excellent communication, delegation and leadership skills
* Resilient and able to perform in high-pressure service periods
* Reliable, strong work ethic and a \"can do\" attitude
Must be available days/nights over a 7 day roster. Position open to applicants willing to commit long-term
