Lifestyle Assistant Wanted
We are seeking a highly motivated Lifestyle Support Assistant to join our team.
As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and services to our residents.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
You will be responsible for implementing and assisting in evaluating lifestyle programs, assisting residents to participate in leisure and lifestyle programs while being sensitive to resident needs.
About this opportunity:
This is a permanent part-time position available as per shift pattern below
Week 1
Friday: 10:00 - 16:00
Monday: 10:00 - 16:00
Tuesday: 10:00 - 16:00
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Be a vibrant and enthusiastic person to contribute to our team's success
* Hold or be in the process of obtaining qualifications related to leisure, health, or community services
* Experience in participating and arranging recreational or leisure pursuits
* Specific experience in working with older people, an advantage if dementia specific
* Be passionate about enhancing the wellbeing of our residents
* Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Be enthusiastic and motivated, showing a willingness to learn
* Have great time management and organisational skills
* The ability to think with initiative

Eligibility requirements include:
* Police clearance valid for working in aged care (unsupervised contact with vulnerable people)
* Must be less than 12 months since date of issue
* Vaccination against seasonal influenza by no later than June each year
* Vaccination against COVID-19 as per current guidelines
