Our client, a well-established renewable energy developer, is seeking a Project Development Officer to support the delivery of utility‐scale solar and stand‐alone battery energy storage (BESS) projects across Australia.

Client Solutions Associate within Renewable Energy
* Work on large-scale renewable energy and storage projects nationwide
* Flexible working arrangements with WFH support
* Exposure across the full development lifecycle
* Collaborative and technically driven project environment

This role supports the end-to-end development lifecycle, working closely with the Origination Manager to progress projects from early-stage development through to financeable, construction‐ready status. You will coordinate consultants, manage approvals, support grid connection activities, and contribute to the organisation's broader market presence.

You will play a key role in advancing large‐scale renewable energy projects by managing development activities, budgets, programs, and specialist inputs. Key Responsibilities Project Development
* Support projects from early development through to development close
* Manage project programs, budgets, documentation, and reporting
* Coordinate technical studies including site surveys, bushfire, acoustic, and environmental assessments
* Support development approvals and EPBC Act compliance
Stakeholder & Client Engagement
* Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and delivery partners
* Liaise with State and Federal Government departments to support approvals
* Manage community consultation activities where required
* Ensure clear and consistent communication on project progress
Land & Approvals
* Assist with securing site options, leases, and site‐specific permits
* Support landowner and stakeholder engagement activities
Grid Connection
* Support grid connection applications and study packages
* Coordinate with network service providers, regulators, and internal grid teams
Reporting
* Prepare regular internal and client‐facing project status reports
* Deliver ad‐hoc reporting as required
About You

You will bring experience supporting the development of utility‐scale renewable energy projects and be confident managing consultants, approvals, and multidisciplinary workstreams.

Experience
* Utility‐scale solar and/or stand‐alone BESS development experience
* Consultant and stakeholder management across development phases
* Exposure to grid connection and regulatory approval processes
* Strong project administration, document control, and reporting capability
* Experience managing project programs and budgets
* High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Willingness to travel on an ad‐hoc basis
* Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams
