Job Summary
* We are seeking a skilled Commercial Finance Specialist to join our team. This role will involve developing commercial insights to support site leadership and operational teams in making informed decisions.
* The ideal candidate will have experience with financial analysis, reporting, and governance, as well as the ability to facilitate forecasting and budgeting processes.
About the Role
* As a Commercial Finance Specialist, you will be responsible for providing commercial input into operational continuous improvement initiatives.
* You will work closely with disciplines to develop risk registers and provide financial evaluations of risk mitigation strategies.
* Your expertise will also be required to provide business case modelling support for on-site SIB capital projects.
* In addition, you will be responsible for facilitating discussions around deviations from plan and identifying root causes of financial performance issues.
Requirements
* A postgraduate qualification in a relevant field such as Business, Accounting, or Finance is essential.
* Knowledge of the QLD Coal Mining Legislation is desirable.
* Integrated ERP system experience is also highly valued.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for this role, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders.
* Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness in solving complex problems are essential.
