We are seeking an experienced Senior Medical Receptionist / Assistant Office Manager to join our busy general practice in the Hunter Valley.

Part Time 2-3 days per week plus holiday and sick cover when needed.
Previous experience working in a medical practice is essential for this position.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced medical receptionist ready to step into a senior role, supporting the reception team and assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
Our practice is fast-paced, professional and patient-focused, and we pride ourselves on delivering high quality care and service to our community.
Office hours are 8am-6 pm and you will be required to be able to work these hours.
About the Role
This role combines senior reception duties with administrative and operational support within the practice.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing front desk operations and patient flow
* Supporting and assisting the reception team when required
* Training and supporting less experienced reception staff
* Appointment scheduling and patient enquiries
* Medicare billing, EFTPOS and patient accounts
* Processing referrals, recalls and clinical correspondence
* Assisting with reception workflows and day-to-day operations
* Providing administrative support to the higher level management team
* Working collaboratively with GPs, nurses and allied health providers
* Following direction and implementing processes set by the higher level management team and Practice Director
* Maintaining compliance with practice policies, privacy and confidentiality requirements
Must be available Thursday and Friday (other day / days to be discussed)
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Previous experience working in a medical practice (essential)
* Experience with Best Practice (essential)
* Knowledge of Medicare billing and patient accounts
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills
* Excellent communication and patient service skills
* Ability to train, mentor and support less experienced reception staff
* Ability to work collaboratively within an established leadership structure while supporting the direction of the higher level management team and Practice Director
* High attention to detail and professionalism
Experience in a senior receptionist or similar role is a must
