This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and dedicated team focused on safeguarding critical information systems and digital assets. We are seeking passionate and skilled Cyber Security professionals across CyberSecurity Assurance who are Canberra based and can work full time hours.
The Roles: 2 x Cyber Security Assurance Specialists
Are you an experienced Cyber Security Assurance professional with a PV (Positive Vetting) clearance looking for a challenging role in Canberra? We are recruiting for a key client seeking 2 x dedicated specialists to oversee the compliance and security posture of their classified IT systems.
As the appointed Cybersecurity Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring assigned classified IT systems comply with Government accreditation frameworks.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Overseeing the compliance and technical security posture of classified IT systems/networks.
* Supporting the establishment and sustainment of IT system security authorisation.
* Maintaining system security documentation, operating procedures, and registers.
* Managing security vulnerability assessment and risk management.
* Overseeing system security monitoring, auditing, and incident reporting/investigation.
* Providing specialist advice on cyber security and security accreditation.
* Acting as Deputy Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) as delegated.
What You'll Bring
To be successful, you must be an Australian Citizen with an active PV Defence Security Clearance and possess the following:
* AGSVA Clearance Level: PV (Positive Vetting).
* 6+ years of relevant technical experience in system administration and cyber security.
* Sound knowledge of IT system accreditation processes & frameworks, including the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP), Defence Security Policy Framework (DSPF), Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM), and NIST-aligned Cybersecurity frameworks.
* Experience with Cybersecurity Incident Response Planning and Risk Management.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) and/or relevant industry certifications.
Important Requirements
* You must be an Australian Citizen.
* You must have positive vetting.
* You must be Canberra based or intending to move there in the short term.
