The Team:
Reporting to the manager of Social Work services, our dynamic and supportive team comprises hospital-based Social Workers providing psychosocial support to inpatients and outpatients at both hospitals and our community-based Social Workers supporting hospital avoidance, wellness, reablement, and groupwork support to clients through Primary Health funded services.
The Role:
This position suits an experienced Social Worker who can demonstrate a high level of clinical knowledge and capability to provide specialised clinical Social Work services to patients and their families within the Women’s and Children’s Service (WACS) at the North West Regional Hospital (NWRH), Mersey Community Hospital (MCH), and other off-site clinics.
The successful applicant will provide clinical expertise and comprehensive Social Work services in accordance with organisational policies and Australian Association of Social Workers Practice Standards and Code of Ethics.
Details of Appointment:
Permanent, full-time, day worker (with on-call) position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 12 May 2025. *Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $110,425 to $121,907 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Agreement Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022.
* Please note that access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.
Eligibility:
* Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers.
* Hold, or be eligible for, full membership with Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
o Overseas qualified Social Work candidates require a certificate of eligibility letter from the AASW to confirm their eligibility for membership to the AASW.
o Or where regulatory requirements exist, NDIS Q&S Commission Provider Registration Requirements.
* Current Working with Children Registration.
