About the Role:
DecoRug, a leader in the flooring industry, is seeking an experienced and skilled Carpet Layer to join our team. As a Carpet Layer, you will be responsible for installing a wide range of carpet products in both residential and commercial settings. Key Responsibilities:
Measure and cut carpets to fit specific spaces and design requirements
Install carpets, underlayment's and padding to the highest standards of quality
Ensure correct fitting of carpet to avoid issues with seams, edges, or overlaps
Work efficiently and safely while adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols
Provide professional customer service by communicating with clients and addressing their needs
Maintain and care for tools and equipment, ensuring they are in proper working condition
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Carpet Layer or in a similar flooring installation role
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to read and interpret floor plans and blueprints
Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environments
Valuable communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
