It is located approximately one-hundred kilometres north of Bowen and south of Townsville. The Bruce Highway passes through the township of Home Hill.Home Hill is a rural farming community of the Burdekin Shire and is predominately a sugar cane growing district with a sugar mill. The district is made up of neighbouring townships of Ayr, Home Hill and other smaller centres.
